Pros:  Everything
Cons:  Nothing

The 100mm macro is one of Canon's best lenses, and I'm sad to see it go (replaced by the sharper, and much more expensive 100mm macro L IS). It is razor sharp, period. Even at f/2.8. Bokeh, color reproduction, contrast, every possible criterion -- it excels. Great for portraits, ideal for macro on APS-C, it is simply unparalleled for the price. Compared to the Sigma 105mm, the internal ring USM focus is a major selling point and worth any price premium (no extending lens barrel!) The focus ring is superb and very accurate for manual focus and tripod applications. Truly a stellar lens and a great value.

Pros:  Super Sharp, Silent AF, beautiful bokeh
Cons:  AF sometimes hunts mercilessly, hood not included

This is an awesome lens. If you aren't getting sharp images with it, look in the mirror because thet is the problem. Only issue is the AF will sometimes endlessly hunt in normal conditions.

Pros:  Sharp, Well Built, Good for portraits and macro
Cons:  AF can be a bit slow due to the macro

A very good lens. Sharp enough to cut you and great color. This lens never leaves my camera for a good reason.

Pros:  INCREDIBLY sharp, great for macro and portraits
Cons:  Hunts a little at very close range

This is a fantastic lens for both macro and portraits. Sharpness is incredible, better than my L zooms. Colors, bokeh, everything else is superb. It's great for both macro work and portraits.

As with most macro lenses it tends to hunt at very small working distances, so you're better off in manual mode.
