Pros:  Image Quality, AF Speed, tripod collar
Cons:  None really

The IS version of this lens was a bit over my budget at the time, but after speaking to some journalist friends of mine, they told me most of them prefer the non-IS version for the faster AF speeds. I bought this lens to shoot little league baseball, and am amazed at the quality of my shots when I use this lens. Its great even when shooting moving objects, using a 1.4 TC, and in less than ideal conditions.
I have no complaints about this lens- it comes with a case, tripod collar, and hood. Its a bit of money, but well worth it.

Pros:  Fantastic images, very sharp
Cons:  None really sometimes AF hunts but that is rare.

Bought this lens for my event photography, I could not afford the extra for Is but to be honest I have not needed it. This lens works as advertised its very sharp, the bokeh is wonderfull and it looks impressive on the camera.
When shooting a wedding you can stand back and shoot low light with confidence.
