Pros: IS
Cons: Unimpressive resolving power at the long end
I got this to replace the non IS version but was disappointed to find that at 200mm it wasn't as sharp. That mattered to me as I used it mostly at the long end.
Other than that is is a great lens for all the same reasons the non IS version is

Great lens with superb resolution, sharpness, af accuracy/speed and reliability.

Pros: Very sharp, good colours, nice quick focus, latest IS
Cons: f/4.0
Superb lens with Canon's latest version of Image Stabilisation which supposedly allows for 4 stops.
Great colours and very sharp wide open, excellent build quality, if f/4 is fast enough then this is the lens for you - mush lighter and less noticed than the f/2.8 version
