Pros:  Solid, very reliable, a looker, stunning colours and sharpness
Cons:  Price

Since purchasing the 1D in June 2007, have shot rigorously in many situations and never been let down. This is a testament to the durability of a Canon 1 series camera, which has now progressed further ahead with the latest Digic III technology.

There's very little to fault on the camera, apart from the widespread reported focusing issues, which fortunately I've never encountered. (Still using non blue dot upgrade, and latest 1.2.3 firmware).

The best points:

* 10 fps, never miss a shot
* ISO 6400 - very usable
* Output sharpness
* Output colour
* Live view - has come in handy on several occasions, and fine tuning focus at 10x view
* Weather sealing/durability (shot in rain/sleet/snow/hail/extreme humid conditions, and never faltered.
